Rob,
Greetings on this special day. Are you observing it in any way? I would have like to attended a synagogue for the blowing of the Shofar, but other commitments prevented it. Maybe next year.

Thanks very much. My wife and I may go to the synagogue tonight, if we're not too bushed. I've got a long day ahead. She's not Jewish and I'm not observant, but she's interested in learning and friends invited us.
I may have told you (I repeat myself a lot, I'm told), when I was growing up in my pre-Bar Mitzvah days, there was a joke going around the temple that you knew it was the High Holy days because the Weinbergs were there. That may be more myth than fact, but it looks like I'm carrying on that tradition. ; )
Best to you and yours.

I came across this while looking for a Jewish cooking site:
When Hillel, one of the revered Jewish sages, was challenged to teach the Torah while standing on one foot, he gave the famous reply: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. The rest is commentary. Now, go and learn."
